PPA121-Pearls of Wisdom

 

Happy Thanksgiving!! I hope you're having a blessed day.  There is so much that I am thankful for, and I pray that I am mindful of that not just today, but every day.  And as we pause to give thanks, I thank the Lord for His saving grace, which has brought me to where I am today.  This is no greater thing for which I am thankful.  And I know that my precious nephews Alex and Jacob know how thankful I am for them, and how much I love them.  Because I keep telling them whenever I see them.  To which they reply, "We love you too Auntie.  But could you please go out with Mom so we can play our Wii."  :)

Diamonds may be a girl's best friend, but pearls can be a paper crafter's best friend. They can dress up a project and make everything just a bit more fun.  And for this week's Pals Paper Arts challenge I used them as I got a jump start on my Christmas tags.  Whether you use a few or many, pearls make everything pretty.

Enjoy your turkey, and most importantly, enjoy your pie!! 

PPA120-A Sketch Challenge

 

The only thing I love more than a Pals Paper Arts challenge is a Pals Paper Arts  challenge that involves a sketch from PPA Design Team member Margaret Moody.  And luckily, today is one of those challenges When you're starting out with this gorgeous sketch, you can't go wrong!!

 

PPA119-It's Beginning to Look A Lot Like Christmas

 

Yup, I said it, CHRISTMAS!! It's the holidays!!  It's hard to believe that Thanksgiving is only 2 weeks away.  (Go ahead, have a little freak out.  I'll wait.) 

For today's Pals Paper Arts inspiration challenge we have this gorgeous picture to use as our inspiration. 

I love the traditional look and colors of this picture. It reminds me of an old-fashioned Christmas card. And I particularly love all of the gorgeous creations that my fellow PPA Design Team members were inspired to created.  It all puts me in the holiday spirit.  I'm on a fun road trip this weekend, I think I might just put in some Christmas music.  You're welcome to join me.   

This was a CASE of a card done by my upline, the amazing Mary Fish.  I love the design, and wanted to do something fun with it.  I did silver embossing on the little jingle bells, some Dazzling Diamonds on the ornament, and used a bit of silver ribbon to add a bit of sparkly.  And you can never go wrong with Cherry Cobbler and Early Espresso on your card (or as your dessert, for that matter.)  Here's what it looks like open.

PPA118-Put It In Neutral

 

For this week's Pals Paper Arts challenge, we have a chance to play with some gorgeous neutrals. I don't know about you, but I'm great at incorporating neutrals here and there in my projects, but I rarely ever do one that is primarily neutrals. What have I been waiting for?!! These are the gorgeous colors that we get to play with, and I have to say that I might just be in love.

I added just a teeny bit of color, with a Cherry Cobbler heart, but these colors are also gorgeous ally by themselves.  I can't wait to see what you're inspired to create!!
